On Saturday, January 13, from 2 – 5 pm the Rev Suzanne Culhane will speak on stewardship and planned giving in Lowe Hall. Refreshments will be served. Rev Culhane is an associate rector at Christ Church in Greenwich, Connecticut and is a professionsl in the fields of philanthopy and stewardship. Besides being our guest speaker for this event, Rev Culhane will also deliver the sermon on Sunday, January 14 at both the 8am service and the 10:30 am service.

The vestry hosted a luncheon with Bishop Dabney Smith and his wife, Mary, at the new Waterline Hotel in Holmes Beach.
This Sunday, December 3, Bishop Dabney Smith will be with us all day long. It is a big day for us at Annuncation.
He will preach at both the 8am and 10:30am services. He will conduct an open forum between the services.
At 4pm Bishop Dabney Smith will officiate at the Celebration of a New Ministry service to install Father Matthew as our Rector. Bishop Michael Garrison will preach at this service. Many guests are expected at this service including many priests from our Diocese, Father Matthew’s family members, and our church family.
Following this service all guests are invited to a big reception as we celebrate this grand occasion.
Church of the Annunciation was part of the Veteran’s Day Parade on Anna Maria Island.
The Manatee Players at the Manatee Performing Arts Center is just completing their first show of the season, Mame. One of our youth, Lily Meaker, was the Assistant Stage Manager. Good job, Lily. The play was good too.
The 2017 scholarship recipients are Natalie Colwell, McRae Smith, Nikki Cecchetti, and Sarah Cecchetti. Nikki and McRae also received Bibles with their names embossed on them.
We are seeking a few people to volunteer to serve as ushers.
